![]() shows the same part #11004-066 for each of the twin KZ900LTD head gaskets, and shows part #92055-062 for the shaped o'ring which fits into the grove around the cam chain tunnel. The 1976 KZ900 continued with the same two piece head gasket and shaped o'ring. The part number of these gaskets was 11004-066. A two piece head gasket was then fitted, both halves being the same. The part number for this o'ring was 92055-062. This modification consisted of a grove machined around the top of the cam chain tunnel which was then fitted with a shaped o'ring. Kawasaki modified the cylinders from engine number Z1E-14319 onwards. "Originally the Z1 was fitted with a single one-piece head gasket but it was soon discovered that this caused excessive oil leaks from around the cam chain tunnel area. Per "Exhaustive Z1 Development History" : The mentioned Z1E link is a one piece gasket. I see gaskets at it can be used on both 9 motors? I hope I dont have to get a new one. ![]()
